Privacy and local demonstration data

How the public SafeSpark™ Variant Hub uses fictional data, local browser storage, offline caches and local export files.

Public development demonstration using fictional school and learner data

What this public Hub stores

Progress, confidence choices, settings, fictional notes and demonstration state may be stored in localStorage, which is a small storage area inside the current browser. The supplied Hub does not currently open an IndexedDB database. If a future pack uses IndexedDB, that use must be documented before deployment.

Deleting browser or App storage may remove local demonstration progress and preferences. The owner export control can create a local JSON backup of SafeSpark-prefixed demonstration records.

What is transmitted

The core lesson, role, progress and offline demonstrations do not transmit pupil or school records to a production server. No analytics, advertising trackers or third-party JavaScript libraries are included in this supplied build. The Hub does not set first-party cookies.

Following an external link leaves the Hub and is then governed by the destination website.

Fictional data only

Do not enter real pupil information, safeguarding disclosures, health information, SEND records or sensitive school data. Export and import demonstrations create local JSON files containing fictional records only.

Production requirements

A real deployment would require organisation-specific privacy notices, lawful-basis decisions, retention and deletion rules, a data-protection impact assessment, contractual processing arrangements, secure authentication, encryption, access controls and incident procedures.

4PEX AI™ local adaptation

What the adaptive learner profile stores

The current demonstration stores the 4PEX AI™ profile inside the existing local subject namespace in the browser. It may record explanation-method choices, answer-check counts, help and example use, read-aloud choices, broad pace bands and confidence selections. It does not need a pupil email address, medical information, safeguarding disclosure or diagnosis.

The profile is separated by learning version and learner name within that local demonstration state. It is not sent to a SafeSpark server by the current static build. Resetting 4PEX AI™ preferences removes only the adaptive profile; it does not clear lesson progress, quiz results, confidence records or teacher-review queues.
